Honestly, I'm not sure if anything I write will be enough to present a realistic picture of this practice and the talented, competent, and wonderful Dr. Srdjan and his dear and smiling assistant Andjela. They accepted my, at the time according to many other dental practices, very complicated case with a smile and enthusiasm. My entire upper jaw was done, and with implants and prosthetics, a smile was created that I can proudly show. Dr. Srdjan's love and dedication to his work inspire enormous trust, and his natural curiosity and attention to detail bring incredible results. Thank you very much 😊

Most Common Questions Regarding Digital Smile Design
Digital Smile Design (DSD) is intended for anyone who is not completely satisfied with the appearance of their smile and wants to improve it. Whether you have:
- Minor aesthetic imperfections, such as gaps between teeth, dislike the color, worn or chipped teeth
- Larger problems like an improper bite, noticeably visible gums ('gummy smile'), or missing teeth
DSD can help you. If you want to see the potential outcome before undergoing any dental procedure. DSD is not limited by age or specific issues; it is a tool for anyone striving for a beautiful smile and allows you to actively participate in creating that smile together with us. In short, DSD is for you if you want to: improve the aesthetics of your smile, see a realistic preview of the future result, and have greater control over the transformation process.
When it might not be the primary choice:
If you have functional problems
If you have functional problems: If your main issue is functional, such as severe bruxism (teeth grinding), temporomandibular joint (TMJ) problems, severe gum disease, serious bite problems requiring orthodontic therapy, and similar, then the functional aspect must be considered before the aesthetic one. In these cases, DSD can help us plan the aesthetic improvement of the smile, but we must first seek solutions for the functional problems.
Patients with unrealistic expectations
Patients with unrealistic expectations: DSD is a powerful visualization tool, but it is not a magic wand. We will strive to show you the real limitations of dentistry so that your expectations are realistic and aligned with possibilities. If a patient has unrealistic expectations about what can be achieved, even with DSD, more education and discussion may be needed to align expectations with possible results.
Patients who are not ready for active participation
Patients who are not ready for active participation: The DSD process requires you to actively participate by giving us guidelines and suggestions. We have the knowledge and will guide you through the entire process, but we need information about what is important and beautiful to you. If a patient does not want or cannot actively participate in the planning process, or does not provide feedback, DSD may not be as effective. It is important for the patient to be willing to communicate their wishes and preferences so we can design a truly personalised smile.
Emergency dental cases
Emergency dental cases: DSD is a planning and design process that takes time. In urgent dental cases, when immediate intervention is needed (e.g., pain, infection, trauma), DSD is certainly not a priority. In these situations, we first address the urgent problems, and DSD can be considered later for planning aesthetic improvements.
Patients expecting immediate results
Patients expecting immediate results: DSD is a process that requires careful planning and sometimes involves multiple treatment phases. If someone expects to have a perfect smile within a few days, this is not always possible, and we at Dental Hero will endeavour to explain the realistic treatment timeframe.
Patients unwilling to commit to long-term oral hygiene and maintenance
Patients unwilling to commit to long-term oral hygiene and maintenance: After completing the treatment for which we did the DSD simulation, it is essential to maintain oral hygiene and attend regular check-ups with us. If a patient is not prepared to commit to proper maintenance, the results may be short-lived.
Patients with certain medical conditions
Patients with certain medical conditions: In rare cases, certain medical conditions or medications can affect the planning and outcome of aesthetic dental procedures. In such situations, our doctors will carefully assess your condition and decide if DSD is an appropriate approach.
Important: We will always carefully assess your situation and recommend the best approach.
